Holy Trinity Teachers’ College is a teachers college locate at Rabiamul, Mt Hagen, Western Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.

It is situated on the peripheries of the Mount Hagen City and sandwiched against the backroad of the Rondon Ridge Range, the Holy Trinity Teachers’ college is situated. The campus is covered by beautiful lawns, classroom which has with stood through time, new additional building, and beautiful iconic chapel which captures the eye, the campus of the Holy Trinity is a spacious sight for the first timer.
Behind the college runs the Aunta River separating the villagers from the college grounds. Student access the beautiful, fresh and clear Aunta whenever they want to go swimming for an early cold wash.
Buses run 10 minutes from the college into the city. Locals and students together commute on these buses.

Our History

The first training course mounted by the Catholic Church on mainland New Guinea Was in 1957.This was at Fatima near Banz, Jiwaka Province. The College Was registered as Fatima Teachers ‘College. Forty – seven students were enrolled in that year, coming mostly from Madang.

In mid-1961, due to expansion of the primary school at Fatima and the addition other secondary classes, the decision was made to move Fatima Teachers’ College to Mount Hagen. Under the direction of architect-builder Br. William Schore SVD, the constrion was going on in Mt. Hagen. It was Financed by “Misereor”, a funding agency of the German Catholics.

In 1967 the first two-year certificate course was offered. This has continued till 1990. In 1991, a Three Year Diploma program was introduced. The first Diploma graduation took place in 1993.In 2000, The original Three Diploma Course was replace by Program 2000.It was also a Three-Year course, but cat-ered for the change to predominately Grade 12. This Three-Year Diploma Program is still offered alongside the Bachelor Degree Program which started in 2014.
